I just think too many experts think the '85 Bears are the best. I mean whenever someone brings up some topic relating to football that need a strong defense as a measuring stick the Super Bowl Shuffle guys are brought up. Why just a few weeks ago while watching a bit of a Jets game one of the announcers said, "It doesn't matter if you're the '85 Bears if you're offense won't get some first downs and give you a breather you're gonna lose."

Shouldn't that settle the discussion then. Football experts are agreeing on it as well. Whenever greatness is being discussed about defense, the Bears are brought up.

If the '85 Bears D and this year's NE offense played on the same team. They would win every game. 56-3.

I beg to differ here. Not in regard to this defense, but in general. Sometimes the football experts are not so expert.
