Greatest Steeler of All-Time

Another toughie. Who is the greatest Pittsburgh Steeler of All-Time? This is a team that had multiple Hall of Famers on most of their 70s teams. So who gets the nod - Bradshaw, Franco, Mel Blount, Mean Joe, or someone else? Like the Yankees, this is a team with an embarrassment of riches to pick from.

Mean Joe over Bradshaw...and Franco ran out of bounds too much for my taste...

Re: Greatest Steeler of All-Time

I have to go with Bradshaw. He was the general on the field, so he might as well get the nod here to.

As much I like Terry, he would have won squat without the D...

I agree, but I didn't think we could nominate the Steel Curtain, so I went with the QB.

Re: Greatest Steeler of All-Time

Bradshaw, Greene, Lynn Swann in that order. Very tough decisions on this club.

Re: Greatest Steeler of All-Time

I dont know too many Steelers, but am familiar with some of those on I think it was the 70's. Mean Green was mean alright. Swann was as graceful as his name. This is reallly unfootball like but I pick Terry. He wrote some reallly funny books. (He wasnt a bad quarterback either, even if he couldnt spell!)

Re: Greatest Steeler of All-Time

Man, how could I forget to mention the incredibly acrobatic Lynn Swann (the man who made ballet cool) and his battery mate, John Stallworth?
