Heard on ESPN earlier today that the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed RB Kevan Barlow, late of the Jets and the Niners. I don't know the terms or length of the deal, but I imagine he'll be brought in to fill Duce Staley's role with the team. What do you guys think of this signing?

Well, I know he fell out of favor in SF (who wouldn't hate playing for Dennis Erickson?!) and NYJ (c'mon, it's the Jets!)...If I recall correctly, a certain Detroit born Hall of Fame RB was also labelled a "problem child" while with with 1st team.

I'm not gonna criticize the deal. It's for low $$$, I know what Barlow is capable of (as a receiver as well as a runner), and maybe playing in his hometown will bring out the [P-word] that he showed in college.
