| Pittsburgh Steelers Season Tickets People that signed up for season tickets back in 1995 are just now receiving their season tickets for the steelers. Since then Pittsburgh has built a stadium holding only approx. 65,000. Why didn't they build a stadium w/ almost 100,000 seats?? Their are about 38,000 people on the waiting list for season tickets. If i sign up now i might get my request in 20 years. By then we'll prolly have a new stadium and more seats. I am looking for anyone with any information on season tickets. |

| Re: Pittsburgh Steelers Season Tickets Welcome to GoTeamsGo, Footeball, and thanks for joining us. I know a few people who have Steeler season tickets - and are quite unwilling to part with them. Guess maybe that's why it takes a decade; the fanbase is a very loyal one. As for the stadium capacity, well, they probably could have squeezed in more seats, but I think it was for comfort purposes. They were going for quality over quantity.

| Re: Pittsburgh Steelers Season Tickets I personally have 2 season tickets. The seats I have were originally purchased by my father in the early 60's when the Steelers played at Forbes Field. He had them from that time throughout the years at Pitt Stadium and Three Rivers Stadium. When the Steelers built Heinz Field we switched the tickets to my name due to the fact that my father was getting older and he wan't to "take care" of the transfer while still living. We had to front $2000.00 per seat as a Personal Seat License. Now that the Steelers have gone to PSL's they are able to be bought/sold or willed to future generations. I already have the 2 seats willed to my 6 yr old son. You can't get season tickets without owning a PSL. Your best bet is the classified ads in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette or even EBay, but be ready to pay. As the owners of PSL's have the right to charge whatever price they think is fair for the PSL. I've seen them as high as $12,000.00 on EBay. Hope this clears things up. |
