Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

The Vikings will travel to Heinz Field, the home of the terrible Towel, to face the Steelers at 1:00 pm ET on Fox.
In spite of the Steelers being 4-2 and Minnesota one of 4 teams with a perfect record thus far, this looks to be a very interesting game.
The aging warrior, Brett Favre, does a nice job of managing the game and making the throws when he has to. He is backed by a stout o-line and a monster man known as Adrian Peterson.
DE Jared Allen makes his presence known every Sunday and is a guy that just doesnt quit, ever.
But the Minnesota defense forgets to close the game out, and it results in some close ones. No killer instinct.
Not having a killer instinct isnt a problem for the Steelers defense. Just think of safety Troy Palamalu.
Big Ben can score points. If the Minnesota defense gets lax, count on him to up the ante.
If it comes down to a kick or two, guess the Vikings got the edge on this. (lol. Looks like Reed has a problem. )
But kickers aside, are you going for the Vikings or the Steelers?

Farve is hot right now. We will see if the Steelers can put out his heat.

I like Vikings and Steelers. But must admit I will be pulling for the Vikings.

What can you expect from a Tennessee Titan fan - that does not believe the hipe of the terrible towel. My team brings themselves their own luck - which right now is bad, not a towel

Go Vikings!

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

Favre was on what I have no doubt was the final drive of the game for the win, and the ball tips off Chester Taylor's hand and Steelers get the tip and run it in for the td.
Tough loss for the Vikings but a good win for the Steelers, 27-17

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

Yea, good win for the Steelers, but it also revealed some issues that need to be addressed, such as, what in the world was Mendenhall thinking when he dove at the 5 yard line, causing him to fumble the ball, and halting what seemed to be a sure scoring drive. And, for the second week in a row the steelers kick coverage gives up a crucial touchdown, allowing the opposition to hang around, and claw back into the game, and what the h_ll was Jeff Reed doing on that return, my sister could've made a better attempt to tackle that runner. It's good that the bye week is here for the champs, with Denver coming up next, let's get rested, give troy another week to heal. Have a minor concern about Ryan Clark, he gets altitude sickness very easily, Troy told him to go out to Denver during the bye, to get acclimated. Last time Steelers played in Denver, Ryan nearly died, he needed to have his spleen removed, due to his altitude sickness.

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

Sidenote: The Steelers held the NFL's leading rusher Adrian Peterson, to just 69 yards on the ground, keeping the defensive tradition of not allowing a 100 yard rusher, now at 25 regular season games, even without pro bowl run stuffer, defensive end Aaron Smith.

Didn't have to worry much about the yards the Titans scrapped together did ya!

Congrats on the win. I really enjoyed the week-end: we did not lose! First time in 6 weeks that we did not lose a game. Hipp Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

If we can get Reeds head out of the bars and back on the field we will be doing better.

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

Great win for the Steelers, and I love the way their defense played. Vikes still had a shot at the end, but Favre decided to throw a screen like it was a 20-yard bullet downfield and the pick resulted. Reed is so not coming back next season, and if they're serious about dropping Parker, Mendenhall needs to pick up his game and especially learn how to take care of the rock.

Re: Vikings @ Steelers 10/25

Hi Lefty Noob, if that's true, i think they will sorely miss him, no other kicker in the league has the accuracy at Heinz Field like Reed has. And i do think this is Parkers last season, as evidenced by only getting 1 carry yesterday.

Hardly Favre's fault, Chester should not have taken his eye off the ball and looked up field before catching that pass, the blame for that falls completely upon one Chester Taylor

OK, lol.. well if it was Favre fault I probably would be one of the first mentioning it, It just seems like this is one of those things kind of like Tarvaris Jackson, if he was the one who threw it, everyone would say it was his fault, when in reality it wasnt, It just bothers me when people only look at the stat sheets and try to talk about the game, now im not saying thats the case for lefty, just people who do that in general.

No, thats not what Lefty is doing. He knows his stuff.
Actually, I was yanking on Lefty's chain. We have a diff of opinion about Brett Favre.
