Can Steelers repeat?

In the last decade, only one team has ever defended its Super Bowl championship successfully, and that is the New England Patriots.
Do the Steelers have what it takes to repeat?
They are returning most of the pieces of last years No. 1 defense in the NFL. And we all know that defense wins championships.
There is still the Patriots to contend with though. Some say if No.12 is healthy, the team is at the front line of knocking of the champs.

Re: Can Steelers repeat?

I think with so many decent solid teams out there it is very difficult to repeat. Injury can come into play. Teams can get suddenly hot or cold. Often times what looks good on paper doesn't translate well on the field. Looking forward to a great season

So am I. Not only the teams like the Steelers and Pats, but the Bears and Vikings could take off. Looks like the Browns and Raiders will still be losers. Who knows what Detroit will do? I think they will be limited but could still make a big splash. Can Miami repeat?
Oh yes, let us not forget the Cowboys!

You mean the guy with the big grin, one of the hardest hitting wide receivers out there? The guy who has a slightly dirty reputation?

No, I mean that guy that was available late in my draft, so I took him as my third receiver, and I am hoping he has one more +80 catch, +1,000 yards, 6-8 TD season...that one...hits or dirty hits don't get me points...

As Long As Big Ben Stays Healthy, And Keeps Putting Up The Numbers, And The Resurrected Running Game With Mendenhall Can Keep The Defense Off The Field, And... Tomlin Allows Dick Lebeau To Unleash The Devastating Pass Rush, Yes They Can Repeat, Course They Still Have To Stand Toe To Toe With The Likes Of The Pats, Or The Colts, And Possibly The Broncos, But I Think Their About To Take A Fall Soon!

FYI kkfan91, The Term Pop, Is A Pittsburgh Original, As Are Many Other Words, Such As, Hoagie, Gumband, Yinz, Bir, And Many Others, Including One Of My Favorites, Fluffya Iggles, It's The Pittsburghese Language, And It's One Of The Many Things That Make Pittsburgh, Well, Pittsburgh, And No, It's Probably Not Normal, But We Absolutely Like It That Way!

Re: Can Steelers repeat?

Sure, Steelers could repeat if they stay healthy, but not likely. I still like the Saints to win it all. Fun season so far and look forward to the Steelers vs Broncos in two weeks I believe.
