The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the San Francisco Giants yesterday thanks to Jose Bautista's first career grand slam. It was the third straight victory for this team, and at 25-39, while there's still a lot of room for improvement, they now at least have a better record than the Marlins and are just two games from moving ahead of the Cubbies and getting out of last place in the NL Central. There may be hope for this team to salvage a decent season yet.
