| Pirates beat Yankees Playing with reckless abandon, the Bucs beat the hitless wonders known as the Yankees. If Pittsburgh played this hard all the time, then perhaps they would not be the laughing stock of the NL year in and year out. Once again the Yankees wasted a good effort by Mike Mussina, who would have had 300 wins by now if had signed with the Red Sox. Putting gutless Posada at first really hurts NY, as he could not catch a throw on a double play that a grade schooler could have. NY let Pat Maholm, whom Billy Crystal hit the ball off of in the spring game, shut them down. |
