| Pirates vs. Cubs Two games, 27 innings of wild baseball, and a pair of Pirates losses. It's sure been entertaining, but the Cubbies keep edging us. Yesterday it was Felix Pie’s two-run single in the 15th inning that sank the Bucs. The good news is that Adam LaRoche broke out of his 0-for-25 slump with a home run in the 14th. The Pirates have lost four of their last five games, and at 3-5 are currently in 5th place in the NL Central. Pie's two-run single in 15th lifts Cubs past Pirates, 6-4 - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

| Re: Pirates vs. Cubs Chicago broke out the brooms yesterday, 7-3. Nice sequence in the first where we scored three runs, one on an RBI single by Sanchez and the others on sac flies by Nady and Bautista. After that, zeroes across the board. Matt Morris gives up four earned runs on 11 hits in seven innings, though the defense committed two errors behind him that allowed three unearned runs to score. And we left seven guys on base, including three when they were in scoring position. So basically, the pitching, hitting and defense stunk. Other than that, we played well.
