Nady & Grabow get new deals

Good news, Pirates fans, to enjoy with your morning coffee. The Bucs have re-signed OF Xavier Nady and RP John Grabow to new deals, thus avoiding arbatration. Nady gets $3.35 million for next season, and Grabow will net about $1.14 million.

Unfortunately, the team couldn't come to terms with Freddy Sanchez, so that one will go to arbatration. Sanchez is asking $4.9 million while the Bucs have counter offered with $4.1 million. See how close they are, I don't think getting him signed before spring training will be much of an issue.
