| Clement headed to Pirates? It appears most likely free-agent pitcher Matt Clement, who missed last season with Boston after undergoing shoulder surgery, will sign with either the Pirates or Cleveland. He wants to stay close to the new home he built in Butler this year. | Re: Clement headed to Pirates? Only invite him to training camp. See if he can throw a pitch without flinching. When he was on his game in Chicago, he was a great pitcher. If he makes the team throw him an incentive filled contract with options. I think that would be fair. He is an unproven talent right now.

| Re: Clement headed to Pirates? Yeah, I like it. A minor league deal and an invite to spring training... that's exactly the kind of gamble a team like the Bucs need to make. |
