In a move that probably has been years in the making, the Pittsburgh Pirates fired their general manager earlier today. Dave Littlefield was let go after six years with the ball club.

Director of player development Brian Graham is the interim GM until they settle on a permanent hire.

So many bad acquisitions. Other than Morris, signing Joe Randa last year when you've already got Gonzales to play third, they way they mishandled Torres contract, one fire sale after another... it's been a comedy of errors. I'm looking forward to a change, and I almost hope they bring in a Sabrmetics guy so we can at least be competitive.
