First baseman Adam LaRoche will have his troublesome left knee examined after the Pirates' season ends, and he is prepared to do "whatever it takes," including surgery, to address it. But doing so immediately, he added, is not an option. "We'll look at it when we're all done," LaRoche said. "But, if you do anything right now, that's your season.
