| Ian Snell goes off Pirates P Ian Snell went off after the team's 10-1 loss to the Angels on Saturday.
"I [expletive] hate this," he's quoted as saying in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "And you can put that in the paper. I [expletive] hate losing. I hate when the team doesn't bring out its full potential. And if they fine me, fine me. I don't care. Because this is getting stupid. We're better than what we're showing."
So did Snell's tirade do any good? Not really. The Bucs played better on Sunday but still lost the game in 10 innings and got swept. "One thing's for sure," reliever John Grabow told reporters after the game. "The only way it can go is up." Hopefully, Grabow's right. |
