Florida earned their 2nd straight win against us yesterday, 4-3 in a game they probably shouldn't have won. According to the AP, "The Marlins trailed 3-2 entering the eighth, but Hanley Ramirez singled off reliever Matt Capps (2-1) with one out to reach base for the eighth time in two games. Cabrera, batting cleanup for the second time this season, and Willingham followed with doubles to make it 4-3." Capps got the blown save and the loss for his effort, 32 pitches over 1.0 inning of work, 2 runs on 3 hits with 1 walk and 2 Ks. We need to find a decent closer. Now.

I have been working a lot of hours the past couple weeks. What happened to Torres. I thought he was the starter. Do I have to change my fantasy lineup????

They seem to be alternating the two. I know Torres closed a game last week, and actually came in to finish this one after Capps blew the save.

Capps struck again in Saturday's 9-8 loss to Florida, giving up a two-run, eighth inning single to Carlos Quentin. As the AP reported, "Matt Capps (2-2), normally the Pirates' most effective reliever, took his second loss in their last four games. He got into immediate trouble when Stephen Drew and Jackson singled in the eighth. Tracy chose to walk Eric Byrnes to intentionally load the bases one batter ahead of the two-run single by Quentin, who was in a 2-for-28 slump."
