Pirate Mystery Pitcher

Who wil be number two in the rotation? There is a lot going on behind the scenes because the Bucs haven't selected their number two guy. That sounds to me like they are not happy with what they have and there is a trade brewing somewhere. The Pinero and Thomson deals are off from what I hear and so I have no idea what is in the works but it sure is intriguing.

BBB,

Who would you like to see as the #2? Now that you mention it I have not heard a lot about this either, and I read the PGH Post Gazette everyday. Where is Duke slated??

WVU,

Duke is number three. Snell is four and Maholm is five.
I guess that I would choose Duckworth. Vogelsong continues to struggle. There is something in the works maybe.

I would like to see a trade myself..who do you think we could pick up? I have not heard much about it. Is there any chance of picking up a solid #2?

Re: Pirate Mystery Pitcher......

Now that Pinero and Thomson are out of the loop I am clueless. Vogelsong to Baltimore for Matos is the only other thing that I heard. That doesn't make sense though. We don't need another outfielder.

Re: Pirate Mystery Pitcher......

Here's the scoop!

Victor Santos was named the fifth starter.

Duckworth was reassigned.

Also, Gerut was optioned to the minors.

Both McClouth and Capps have made the team

Do you like the Santos over Duckworth move? I am not so sure about it.

Re: Pirate Mystery Pitcher

There is probably not that much difference between the two. I guess that a trade is not going to happen.

Re: Pirate Mystery Pitcher

BBB,

It does not look like it at this point. It appears that everything is pretty much set the way it is. But overall, I like the way things panned out throughout spring training.

Re: Pirate Mystery Pitcher

WVU,

I'm guessing that Santos is on a short leash. There are too many able replacements.
