Pirates reliever Matt Capps has been suspended by Major League Baseball for four games for beaning Prince Fielder of the Brewers during a game last week. According to the Associated Press, "Capps hit Fielder high in the right shoulder just after giving up a three-run homer to J.J. Hardy in the seventh inning Saturday. Plate umpire Alfonso Marquez immediately ejected Capps... Capps denied having intentionally thrown at Fielder and called the umpire's decision 'a judgmental call on his part.'" So we're without one of our better relievers for four games, which stinks.
