| Pirates vs. Brewers Nice win for the Bucs yesterday, as they beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2. According to the Associated Press, "Jose Bautista and Ronny Paulino hit consecutive home runs in a four-run seventh inning, and the Pittsburgh Pirates rallied for a 4-2 victory Thursday night that stopped the Brewers' four-game winning streak... Tom Gorzelanny (4-1) won his fourth straight road start, giving up two runs and six hits in seven innings. Salomon Torres pitched the ninth for his ninth save in 12 chances."

| Re: Pirates vs. Brewers Another ugly loss yesterday, 6-3 to the Brewers. As the Associated Press put it, this is a story of two teams heading in different directions: "At 20-10, the Brewers have the best record in the National League and are 10 games over .500 for the first time since 1998... Meanwhile, Pittsburgh (13-16) is struggling after a promising and couldn't do much of anything right Saturday, committing two errors and getting caught twice in rundowns between third and home in the sixth inning." |

| Re: Pirates vs. Brewers Yeah, tell me about it. I was really hoping that the Bucs would earn a series split today, but no such luck. Milwaukee won 6-4 thanks largely to a pair of Prince Fielder home runs. Pittsburgh is now 13-17 and have just one win for the month of May. Bummer. |
