Ian Snell

Pirates pitcher Ian Snell has been unreal this April. He's had four starts in the month, going 2-1 with a 1.59 ERA - fourth best in the National League. The 25 year old has pitched 34.0 innings and has yet to give up more than two runs in a game. So are we looking at a future ace in development, here?

Re: Ian Snell

No doubt we are. He's got the best stuff on that pitching staff and that's coming from a big Zach Duke fan. I just don't see Pittsburgh shelling out the cash to keep him when his contract is up though, because he will come at a price.

Yeah, that's the sad thing about the situation we're in... we're developing the Yankees 2009 starting rotation here. Lots of good young pitching here and it'd be nice if we could start putting together a few winning seasons before losing all of 'em.

Re: Ian Snell

Winning seasons? Don't joke like that.

Ian Snell has been sensational thus far, but the true question remains. Will he be able to hold it out?
