Pirates Brewers series

Ugh. Fresh off a sweep of the Cardinals, the Pirates go to Milwaukee for a two game series and promptly lose the first one 7-3. The Brewers score three times in the bottom of the first, including a two-run homer Brad Hall. Bay did have a triple and a homer in the game, but Maholm gives up five runs and 10 hits in six innings in the loss.

Re: Pirates Brewers series

They should have pulled Maholm out earlier!

Jason Bay could've gone for the cycle there, with a rare triple.

Yeah, like maybe during his warm-ups. Maholm just hasn't been working out in the rotation.

Re: Pirates Brewers series

And we lose again. J.J. Hardy had a two-run homer and four RBIs in the 7-5 Milwaukee win. Duke gives up four runs in the first and a total of seven runs and 11 hits in four innings in a terrible outing. On the plus side, Nady had three hits including a double and a homer, and drove in three runs for the Bucs.
