| Re: Pirates Record as function of Storms... Gotham, I think one of those storms killed a few of those mina birds in peru and it was right at that point in time that the Bucs started going down hill. My uncle was a mina in West Virginia and so I'm not that enthralled with the mina bird factor and I know nothing about Peru. To your point, The Miami hurricanes probably had an affect on the college football standings but the others may have a bearing on the Bucco ship this year. We'll just have to see how the Pirates weather the storm. I hope this didn't make any sense or I will be extremely disappointed. BBB |

Also note that the introduction of such factors as the minas of West Virginia (as opposed to those of the Southern Region of Peru) has created a kind of Cognitive Dissonance within my original train of thought, and I find myself at a cross road of sort...one in which I can not fully embrace the storm/record theory without extensive research on the minas of West Virginia and their indirect influence on the outcome of the Bucs seasons. I will however endeavor to persevere in my efforts, and will restructure said theory to fully take into account all known variables that you have so astutely mentioned. I thank you for showing me the error of my way, and for providing greater clarity in my ever-present attempt to tie baseball statistics to chaos theory. |
