Craig Wilson Done? What does everyone think about the situation with Craig Wilson? He had a big season two years ago, but was injury plagued last year. Does he have any chance to ever crack the Pirates lineup with the additions of Casey and Burnitz?

Craig has to prove to the baseball world that he is healthy and can swing a bat. Littlefield was handcuffed with Wilson in the off season because of his hand injury. I would imagine that he might be a mid-season trade. He is better suited for the American league as DH. He's not a complete player. If he would have developed his catching skills then he would have been set but he just doesn't seem to have a position that he can call his own. BBB

I agree with what you guys are saying. I saw that they signed him a couple of day ago for some decent cash so I guess it is obvious he is going to get traded. A article in the PGH Post-Gazette quoted him as saying he is going to try and make it hard for the coaches to sit him. And I think that can hold true. I know he is not the best fielder in the league, but I hope he gets the chance to provide some pop at the plate.

Wilson I'm a big fan of CW. He's a quality player with a decent upside but he's got to stay healthy. That's easy to stay cause it looks like he's turning brittle. Yes, the Bucs paying $3 million is like the Yanks paying $15...

I guess only time will tell; it is just a shame that he may never get the chance to show that he is healthy this year. Hopefully it will work out in the long run. I would love to see the Pirates keep him around, but for that price tag with no room available, I cannot see it happening.
