2nd game vs Sens

Gonchar just scored and now it's 1-0 in the first and it made me think - I'm glad Roberts was the star of last game, and I hope Gonchar gets noticed for his game. these veterans on this team need to be lauded more, because they have been a big part of bringing the Penguins where they are now.
I also just looked up Ryan Malone and he's a Pittsburgh boy, playing for what must be his favourite team. i love that.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

The Pens dominated that game again even though it was a close score.
On our way to Ottawa with a 2 game lead...Go Pens!!!

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

I was impressed that Ottawa did what they did to come back, I'll give that to them. They had a 3 goal lead and blew it.
Gerber was pretty darn good in net.
But the Penguins were so impressive. malkin had 3 assists and that doesn't say enough about his participation in this game - he was supreme.
And Sykora and malone had great games. malone's goal to win the game was a real jump-out-of-your seater.

Now that was a game! Pens set a new team playoff record with 54 shots in the 5-3 win.
Malkin has six points in the first two games. He continues to be the heart and soul of this Penguins team.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

54 shots is why gerber showed how good he was.
I think gerber is a Senator I like. the only one.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

He played a good game, granted. But he has been the model of inconsistency all year long

I like the guy...do you think this will become his team and not Sid's...or is he Messier to Gretzky.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

There is something really special about Malkin, that having watched him better over these last two games really impresses me. he is such a smart player.
I also didn't realize - he is huge.
Time will tell where he will place, i guess.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

Ryan Malone has been my favorite player most of the year but in the past two months Malkin has got my full attention...I just love em. He made those goals by Sykora even though he didn't put them in the net.

Re: 2nd game vs Sens

Yeah that's part of what is so impressive - he made those plays happen - he was the architect, guiding the puck into the net even though he didn't get the goal.
