i don't think there's a need for panic these guys are winning without him.
It's his high ankle sprain - he needs one more week.
I hear the players are getting these injuries because the equipment, the skates are so strong and hold their feet so strongly, that the injuries are now coming higher up on the leg.
He'll miss games vs. Philly, Rangers and Lightning.

The Penguins have yet to gauge the full impact of their trading-deadline deal to acquire Hossa from the Atlanta Thrashers because either Hossa, Crosby or both have been hurt in every game since. Hossa has been slowed by a knee injury.
Penguins are 12-6-4 without Crosby.

He is young, and so is a lot of the team...better to act on the side of caution.

I can't believe hossa has only played 10 minutes as a Penguin and has yet to play with Crosby.

Crosby's definitely out Saturday vs. New Jersey, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and will probably miss another game after that as well. Just get him healthy for the playoffs, that's what I figure. Though it would be nice to give him and Hossa some time together to gel.
