Nice rest before the playoffs...as long as the injury does not act up, you can't beat your superstar getting a major rest late in the year.

true - but what of the rust that may have developed while someone like Ovechkin is flying high?
not that we need to compare them (again as it happens on nhl threads here) - just hoping crosby hits the ice and plays like before.

Boy did he look good last night. Shooting touch was a little off, but he was as good as ever about setting up his teammates. He had an assist in a 2-0 Penguins win over Tampa Bay last night. Star of the game, however, was Fleury - 35 saves in the shutout.

The team that will really kick in the playoffs will probably be a West team because the Eastern teams aren't the teams I thought would be in...
I hope the Sabres make it. They need to beat Ovechkin tonight.

Some things come natural to the Kid, and I think passing instincts is one of them...you can't teach it...you can't practice it...it's a six sense that great players have...and he is a great one.
