Sidney Crosby may be headed for a scoring title and possibly an MVP award, but he is far from the only attraction on the red-hot Pittsburgh Penguins.

TORONTO (AP) -- Jordan Staal capped a tight game with his first career hat trick in a city he dreamed about playing in.
Staal scored his third goal of the game at 3:54 of overtime to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 6-5 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
Staal has seven goals in the last five games for the Penguins, who have points in 13 straight games (11-0-2) for the first time since a 14-game run (12-0-2) from Dec. 19, 1996, to Jan. 21, 1997

The Penguins are hot...and what's with Staal he has over 20 goals and all of 6 assists...does the man believe in passing.

Crosby, Malkin and Staal... man, is this team going to be special for a looooong time. Who cares if Staal is becoming the designated sniper? The way Crosby and Malkin are passing the puck around, somebody's got to shoot it, right?

yeah it pays to suck for years so you can load up on young # one picks like Fleury, crosby, Staal and whitney.
Crosby wasn't such an influence in the game last night - I think leafs did a good job of keeping him in check.

1. We traded to get Fleury at number one.
2. Whitney was a 5th overall.

Oh, and the fact that Staal had a HT was amazing. That was so sweet to see. Malkin had a quiet 4 points, too.
