Suns@Clippers

Clippers host the Suns tonight. After the humiliating whooping that took place in Phoenix, it will be interesting to see how they respond in LA. The Suns have been living off the 3 point shot and when that goes cold, their defense cannot keep them in a game. Elton Brand is MVP in this series and Nash goes home early, again!

Ah, in the immortal words of Lee Corso, not so fast my friend!

How about Phoenix gets 32 points and 19 rebounds from Shawn Marion and wins 94-91?

Suns got it done. I hope to never hear the Suns complain about the officiating again though after last nights game was given to them. Maggette charge? More like a Shawn Marion block. That resulted in a 4 point swing at a critical point in the game. Steve Nash playing defense falls down due to a crossover move by Shaun Livingston, so Nash ties to kick him as he goes by. Classy move by the MVP! Then on his final shot Nash clearly pushed off the defender, but I guess with the MVP award comes the no calls as well.

Clippers even up the series with a 114-107 win. This series may go 7 games. Game 5 tuesday in Phoenix. Who will win this game?

Cool Re: Suns@Clippers

I'm really hoping the Clippers win. In Phoenix, the Clippers have to slow down the pace and work the ball inside. If they try to run with Phoenix in Phoenix, they'll get blown out of the building.

Re: Suns@Clippers

Wow the Clippers won even without Kaman. I thought for sure that they were washed up since he was hurt. I am beginning to think, based on the way Phoenix played the Lakers, that the Suns need more pressure to win. Make any sense? Anyway here is a link on the Clips win without Kaman.

Suns won in 2 O/T's. Sounds like it was a great game. I wish I could have stayed up to 3 in the morning to watch.

Re: Suns@Clippers

Clippers came back from 18 points down and blew a chance to win at the end of regulation. Then in OT they had a 3 point lead with 1.1 second left and Raja Bell hit an amazing shot to force a 2nd OT. The Suns finally put it away then. Clippers by all rights should have won that game.

Re: Suns@Clippers

Four of these five games have been ESPN classic worthy, hopefully the trend continues tonight.
They need to bench Kaman for the duration of this series, he is probably the best second post option on any team in the league, but this isn't a good matchup for him.

Re: Suns@Clippers

I sure hope Clippers force this series back to Phoenix for a game 7. It has been an entertaining playoff season to say the least. Cavs have really surprised me, who could have guessed after the first two games that the Cavs would actually be able to clinch the series at home?

Cool Re: Suns@Clippers

We go to game 7. How about Brand's performance? 30 pts on 14 for 21 shooting, 12 boards and 5 blocks.

Re: Suns@Clippers

I think my pressure theory is gonna hold true. I have no doubt that the Suns are a better team than the Clippers but the Suns need the pressure of elimination to make them play good enough and care enough to win. Re: Suns@Clippers

Game in progress...Suns are up ten..will the Clips come back? If not my theory holds true and the Suns need the pressure. I wonder if the two teams know who they have to face if they win. This is turning out to be a fresh NBA playoffs.

The Clips had a good run. I wish they could have won the game though.

Re: Suns@Clippers

Yeah but I mean really what do you expect. The Clippers haven't had a winning season in ten years at least and now they wanna go to the finals. I mean really the Suns make for better basketball. Suns vs. Mavs. I mean really the Mavs vs. the Clippers?
