| Coyotes sign one draft pick, lose another Good news and bad news this past week for the Phoenix Coyotes. First, the good news, as reported by the Arizona Republic: "The Coyotes signed goalie Joel Gistedt to an entry-level contract. The Coyotes selected Gistedt in the second round (36th overall) of last year's draft. A native of Uddevalla, Sweden, Gistedt also represented Team Sweden at the 2007 World Junior Championships and was rated by NHL Central Scouting as the No. 1 European goaltender last year."
