Well, not only did they lose 10-3 with thier Ace on the mound, but Carlos Ruiz may be heading to the DL.

Local sports news is reporting the Lou Marson is heading out west. He is a top flight minor league prospect, and will be there as a back up, I'm sure.

I'd like to see him get some AB's, but with the team struggling right now, I doubt he'll get the chance.

Maybe not a bad idea. Ruiz never been known for great hitting. And if Marson can get a chance, who knows where they go. Certainly Coste will not be catching everyday. Key will be to get Marson into a game where he has a good chance to succeed.

I do like Marson, but I have the feeling he isn't ready.

I hope management would have been smart enough to bring him up if he was better.

thing is...it is really just a trial run for the kid. He knows he has ntg to lose. He plays bad he goes back to AAA. He plays gd.. he goes back to AAA. Now he gets a free look at ML pitching and team can see what areas he needs to work on.
