| Phils win one of three VS Braves Well, it took some bad pitching by the Braves, but the Phils batters actually showed some patience in an 8 run 7th, and held on to top the Braves today! I'll take it! Phillies ring up a win | Philadelphia Inquirer | 04/08/2009 |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves me too 1 out of 3 not bad if you are a batter, but the way we pitched...uuuggghhh. So with both Haap and Park coming out of the pen in the last 2 days who is the #5 and who is the bullpen guy??? |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves Well Thursday a travel day, then Hamels on Friday, followed by rest of rotation. So #5 will not be for awhile it seems. If they did not throw Park the other day, then they could have given Hamels one more rest day. Well my parents will be back in Delaware on Thursday night. Their flight out of KL was due to leave yesterday (Wed morning our time) but was cancelled for mechaniccal reasons and then by the time they got on a new flight they had missed their connection in HK. So they were forced to sit ard HK airport for 4 hours before getting a new flight to NYC. My dad wanted to be back in time to see Hamels pitch. He went on line while he was here to buy tix for the Orioles. Amazing what great seats you can still get for them for very cheap price. Washington too. Do you get down that way?? |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves Heard the new Nats place is in a crappy part of town. Still like Camden Yards though. Good atmosphere around stadium and inside has great views from wherever you sit. Well we need Hamels to give us a quality start on Friday.... our first 3 starters were crap |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves ESPN had a thing last year I think, where they said what they "thought" each town was, i.e. Chicago is Da Bears, Dallas the Cowgirls, Detroit the Redwings. They had Philly as a baseball town. I disagree.... Philly is a hockey town. Fans left the Phils for years when they were bad, same as the Eagles. But good or bad, people always go to see the Flyers. Flyers fans are the most passionate of all Philly fans....IMO. |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves yes the gist of the article was in each town, despite how mant sports teams they have, there is one team which is "the team". Ny they had the Yanks, Boston the Sox, Chicago the Bears. I disagreed with their choice for Philly. Having lived in Philly from age 3-22 and having seen good team (few) and bad teams (a lot) I can honestly say, the only team that gets support year in, year out regardless of record is the Flyers. Philly is known for "passionate" fans.... and Flyers fans are the most passionate. |

| Re: Phils win one of three VS Braves I think the Flyers and Eagles pack the house no matter what. The Sixers and Phils have to be good to fill the stadiums. Before the Phils new park, they almost had to give tickets away! Granted, it held 20K more, but it was very rarely filled. I do think Philly is a great sports town though! Even the Phantoms, Soul, and Kix have done well here, and college Basketball is a hard ticket to get here. Villanova, St Joseph's, and Temple all draw great crowds.
