You said it in that all that matters is the crown. Those awards are just for the regular season so judge them upon that merit but the playoffs are where champions are made and the champions are the Phillies. You manage every year to win the World Series not the Manager Of The Year award.

i think it should include the postseason because what if the manager was very impressive during the regular season then pulled off a bunch of bonehead pitching changes or lineup change in the postseason that costs the team, and still gets the award. that would be retarded.
