The Phils have declined to pick up the options on two players, neither of which are a surprise.

So Taguchi and Tom Gordon have played out their days in Philly.

Good riddance on both counts!

Now be nice. Gordon played well that first year.... then he just started breaking down. Once he started losing his fastball, teams could tee off on him. Taguchi just never seemed to get going here... guy was great in St. Louis because he got a little playing time. Here they wanted him to just come off the bench and he never got in the groove. Will he be missed..no, but neither will Gordon but Gordon did get the job done....for a short while.
