The National League must truly be bad if the Phillies are a contender. They have a 1-0 lead against Boston and allow Josh Beckett to get two hits, including a home run, as they fall apart and lose 8-4. If the Red Sox or Yankees played in the National League, they might win 120 games.

Last night's loss the Mets was an absolute killer. It'll be interesting to see what kind of resolve they have to come back from a loss like that.

The players are exhausted from last night's 16-inning game. I don't think they players will perform well tonight. They need some rest and I can almost guarantee that Willie Randolph will give some players the day off.

Who is pitching tonight? Will it be Alay Soler (the rookie who they recently called up)? I can hardly wait to see him play.
