I didn't get to see it, the Phils always have a weekday day game to open the season. Who wants to take a vacation day to go to this????


Anyway, they rallied to tie the game, and "not-so-flash" Gordon chokes up 5 runs in the top of the ninth.

I sure hope Lidge comes back soon!

They are gonna get better. But I do find it disturbing that the can't beat a crappy team that played a night game yesterday. I swear they just like to torture me! The Phils never do anything easy!

How long have you been a Philadelphia fan????? This is the story of every Philly sports team since time began. Truly believe being a fan of Philadelphia sports is the hardest thing in the world because they will always break your heart.

I don't belive in that. I think we just tell ourselves that to feel better.

It is amazing that these teams pay the position players and starters the big bucks and put recycled garbage like Gordon in the bullpen. You can't tell me they dont have a live arm somewhere in their system better than him.

Well evey team in this town has broken my heart at least once. Generally I am a "glass is half full" guy, but when it comes to Philly sports I just find myself waiting to see how they will find a way to blow it. But.... I still keep coming back.

Perfect example.... Flyers having a great season and then lose 10 in a row. Now they are fighting to make the playoffs. Only in Philly can this happen.
