The Phillies defeated John Smoltz and the Atlanta Braves tonight, 6-4. Meanwhile, the Cardinals defeated the Mets, 3-0.

It's officially a tie for the division lead in the NL East.

The Phillies end the season against the Washington Nationals.

It's going to be one crazy weekend.

That sounds cool! I just hope they win today! That would lock them into at least a play in with the Mets.

This is great! No matter what happens. After the 11-14 April, it seemed the Phils would just let us all down again. And they still could.

But, the everyday players have shown a lot of heart, and they played very well together. Their play since the All Star break has me convinced they can maintain this, unlike 1993, and that is the best news of all!

But honestly, best of luck. I will be mad if the PHils don't pull it off, but this is a good chance for them. We are both playing bad teams. It would be fitting if they decided this Monday!

Jamie Moyer Starts for the Phils. That concerns me a bit. He has been hot and cold this year. He has to take it at least 5 tomorrow. The BP got some use today.

I'm on pins and needles. Look for me in the stands, I'll either be chewing on the white towell or waving it! I'm hoping for the latter!
