| Chase Utley breaks hand In today's Phillies vs. Nationals game, Chase Utley left with a broken hand. According to the Associated Press, "Utley was hit in the fifth inning by John Lannan, who was making his major league debut. Utley finished the game, going 2-for-4, but X-rays afterward showed he broke a bone in the hand... Utley, batting .336 with 17 homers and 82 RBIs, didn't think he'd be sidelined for a month." In the meantime, Abraham Nunez is expected to take over a second base for Philly.

| Re: Chase Utley breaks hand Three weeks wouldn't be bad. I don't have any illusions about the Phils winning a World Series, but I do like to watch them, and I think they could make a wild card, and even win the division, with the right breaks! No pun intended. We shall see! I'm going to see them play the Braves on Aug 12th, sucks he won't be playing then. |
