The Phillies went an even .500, 44-44, in the first half of the season and are currently in third place in the NL East, 4.5 games out. However, they've lost 7 of their last 10. Will they be able to stay in the race? How to they snap out of their recent losing skid?

Considering they went 4-11 to start and all the injuries that they have had, to be 4 1/2 out is acceptable. They need Helms to start hitting ( he has shown signs lately). They need to have Burrell start hitting or move him for anything they can get (bag of marbles, old bats, etc.). They need to get Gordon and Myers back. And lastly, they need to find a 5th SP. Kendricks has done OK and has gained some confidence. Sooner or later he is gonna have a bad start (everyone does). How he recovers from that will determine his future.
