He has been better as a starter than he was in the pen!!! And we don;t need outstanding. If Hamels and Garcia can fill the 1,2 starter role, then he will be a very solid starter for the rotation.

It is just about making the best out of what we have. And winning six of the last eight games seems to tell me this new twist is working. We shall see.

Now with Gordon going on the DL this moves seems like great foresight. Myers will, hopefully, provide us with something dependable in the pen.

Myers looks like a very solid closer, at least he did last night vs. San Fran. Yeah, this wound up being a very smart move.
