The Yanks are desperate for SP right now, as are the Blue Jays. If Garcia pitches and looks, well, is now the time to trade Lieber?? Perhaps to Toronto along with Rowand for Rios and some bullpen help?? The Yanks don't have much to give back that helps now. Lots of arms in the minors but we need another lefty in the bullpen.

Lieber is getting up in years...I would trade him if I had a decent offer...

I would trade him if I got the chance, but I don't think the Jays are going to get rid of Rios.

The Yankees aren't that desperate yet. Wang is due back, Mussina was more of a cautionary move. Jeff karstens is due back soon. And the Rocket is always waiting in the wings.

So much for getting rid of Garcia. He pitched pretty poorly although he was one mistake pitch away from giving up zero runs. Still, he was erratic and lasted less than five innings.
