Too hard to trade Burrell. High cost and history of nagging injuries will not get us much. Rowand is a good defensive CF, avg hitter, and a low salary. We could get a few young arms for him. Thing with RP is they are good one year and then crap the next. Phils have a few young arms in the pen now who may work out.

FYI... saw an interesting story for the Yanks. With Zito getting $126M the Twins have to wonder what Johan Santana will want. Obviously they can not afford it so the thought is that the Yanks will trade them 5 pitching prospects for Santana.

Destroy our farm system and ruin another star pitcher at the same time? No, thanks. I'm contant with what we have. I'd rather have a solid team now and good players for the future, then an excellent team now with no thought to the upcoming years.

Not saying right or wrong but what is Santana worth?? $150? $200?? Very few teams will have that kind of money. The Yanks are one and after next year or two so would the Phils, but Twins will trade him first to get something. And that is what will cost you. To me, Santana is worth it.

Just another Phils fan checking in! I'm just hoping for a great season! I hope they don't get rid of Leiber. I don't have much faith in Eaton, so Leiby is insurance. We need Bullpen help, but unless someone is willing to offer a great deal, I'd be happy to keep him here. We shall see, but I'm ready for basball! At least this ice and snow will be gone by that time!
