The Phillies sent pitchers Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez to the White Sox for Freddy Garcia.

While they give up on some young pitching, they get a crafty veteran to sure up their rotation. And bringing Garcia into the national league could work out wonders for the Phil's pitching woes.

Garcia's a good pitcher. I'm a little surprised to see the ChiSox trade him, but as is, it's a nice pickup for the Phils.
