The Philadelphia Phillies and Jamie Moyer came to an agreement earlier this week on a new contract. Moyer signed a 2-year contract worth $10.5 million. According to Randy Miller of the
PhillyBurbs, Moyer's contract allows him a limited no-trade clause and the ability to leave road trips early to spend time with his family, in Seattle.
Moyer is one of those guys who seems to always find the bug to want to pitch again and he has some fuel left in that arm of his. If I were a Phillies fan, my only concern would be (besides his age), him pitching half of his starts in Philly in the small park they have there.
Either way, he provides a pretty reliable veteran arm for a team who hopes to contend in 2007.
