Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies finished the 2006 season atop both the NL home run and RBI lists. Howard, a top candidate for the league MVP award, belted an MLB best 58 home runs and drove in 149 runs, also best in baseball. He had a phenomenal season, and the scary thing is, he may actually just be getting warmed up. So what do you think of Howard?

Great season but he needs to cut down on those strikeouts. He had 181 hits and 180 strikeouts! And that didn't even lead baseball-Adam Dunn had 194!

35 players eclipsed the 100 runs batted in mark this year. WOW.

Lack of pride...a gut like Tedd Williams or Joe D would hit homers without the big K to AB ratio. I think the first of the free swingers might have been Mickey Mantle...though along came Reggie Jackson and he was about 1K in every 4 abs...and now Ryan and Dunn are at 1 for every 3...so much for complete hitters.
