Phillies Looking For a Miracle

Perhaps 'miracle' is too strong a word but the Phillies do need a lot to happen to get the wild card. They're leading the Marlins 4-3 in the 8th right now. They need to finish this game and win tomorrow. Then they need EITHER the Dodgers OR Padres to lose BOTH today and tomorrow. If that happens, there will be a tie and either a single game playoff Monday or tiebreakers may come into play.

Nope, no such luck. The Phillies were eliminated and the Dodgers and Padres have clinched playoff berths.

If only they could have traded Abreu prior to the deadline, maybe they would have gotten hotter earlier.
