Lidge loads the bases in the 9th with 1 out and gets the hook.... finally some would say. Madson comes in and gets Zimmerman and Dunn out on 6 pitches. Myers pitched 1 1/3 innings earlier and did well. Obviously people have been concerned about Lidge this year but Charlie has stuck with him. But after losing 4 in a row to Houston he had no choice, we could not lose this game. This has to be bad for Lidge's confidence as Manuel has been his biggest supporter. Gotta think Madson and Myers are going to get the shot here. Myers would love to excel here, esp as he is playing for a new contract.

Probably good you did not watch.. other then the 5 HRs and Pedro pitching.... Lidge would have given you heartburn. I swear when he pitches my butt is so tight if I put a piece of coal in there it would come out a diamond!! hahahaha

Yeah have to think Lidge is done. Tonite they did not even call him. Up on the Nats 6-5 in the 9th, they go right to Madson. Think if they believe Myers can be effective then that's what they will do. Thanks Brad for the fine job last year, but take a seat.

Winning 6-4 in the 8th and they lose in the bottom of the 9th.... way to go Brad. We could have knocked Fla out tonite with a win. Please explain why he is still aloowed anywhere near the mound in a close game????

Yeah I know that is certainly a factor.... but not at this time I would think. If it were June or July, yeah, but not now with 10+ games to go. I get it that they need to know what they have for the playoffs... but let's get there first. I really don't have a clue what they are going to do. Madson is up and down.. I don't think he can be an everyday closer. Myers could be he is coming back from injury. After that who??? Phils have way too many questions for this time of the year.
