Thumbs up 3 runs in 3 games= 2 wins

Can not remember ever seeing a team do that before 1-0. 0-4, 2-1. Nice to win 2 games but offense needs to return.

The problem is Ibanez.... it is obvious that he is still hurt. His numbers after he came off the DL are like nite and day to earlier. Werth has sure come into his own. We could use Utley to start turning it on as well. Other then that I like our chances. We have a good staff for the playoffs, esp if Hamels is heating up. We have 4 good starters to throw out there. I think if Myers can be a gd late inning guy in the pen we will be hard to beat.

Yeah... don't know what it is but Hamels and Lidge both are having crap years after great post seasons last year. Hamels seems to be finding a base and will hopefully turn it around, but Lidge has just been horrible. He was never a "lights out" reliever like Rivera. But watch him now is like watching a train wreak.... I have to leave the room. If I was at the game I would be pacing the concourse. I think Myers know he could find his spot here... he liked closing, he wants to close and he didn't do a bad job. Would not surprise me to see the Phils give him a couple shots before seasons end.... hell, they have to because if Lidge can not do it then we have no chance of repeating.

Re: 3 runs in 3 games= 2 wins

So true..... we have had our share of arsonists. Looking forward to next year, we would have as SP Lee, Hamels, Happ and Blanton. I don't think Moyer comes back... he has one year left on his contract so either he retires and they pay him or...... Unsure what we do with Myers. His contract is up so he is free agent. Think he would like to stay in Philly but as what??? Sp or bullpen. He needs to come back and pitch well enough to show teams he has healed. He made $12M this year so he knows that will not happen next year. Lidge is in 1st yr of a 3 year deal so he stays... no trading him after this year unless he goes lights out in the playoffs. Some team will give Myers a deal esp if he wants to be a late innings guy... Florida needs help and he is from Florida so good fit there except for price. So think next 4 weeks will be huge for both guys.
