Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 good game tonight bro. Congrats. Marty Biron. That's all I can say. Fabulous game for him and good start for the Flyers in general. Give Umberger a pat on the back for his wicked shot. Unbelievable. Even though I write this with a sick stomach, Monday is not far off and the tables may turn again. Inspirational effort from Koivu as well. Gloves off monday. Look forward to it.

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 This series is just going to get more intense. The winner of this might lose the conference finals, since it's getting ugly already. Hartnell took that guys head off well after the whistle, and there were cheap shots near the end of the game by both sides. War on ice! I love it!

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 Yeah Kostopolous was a jerk on our side and Braydon Coburn was a bit of a JA tonight as well. All I can say is that if we can't solve Biron on Monday by getting the first goal, it might be a short series. And Price better play better. So does the majority of Dover favor the Flyers? Do they have flags on their vehicles and stuff. I mean, are you a lonely hockey fan or is there a community?

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 There is a pretty big community, but Philly is a big football town. I grew up about 40 minutes more to the north, about a half hour from Philly, so it was a bit stronger that way. However, all our TV and newspaper mainly covers the Philly area, although the Baltimore teams are also strong down here where I live now! All my friends are Flyers fans, at least the ones that love hockey! My one bud called me four times tonight! He is in Pittsburgh for all three Pirates/Phillies games, but wanted to stay in contact for good luck reasons! We talked on and off during the Sixers/Pistons game the other night, and the Sixers dominated them, so he wants to keep the good Karma going! It's a good time for Philly sports right now! The Flyers and Sixers are in the playoffs, and the Phillies are on thier way to their best start in many years! And the Phils won the NL east last year, so that is saying something! To be honest though, I'm the biggest hockey fan I know! I love the sport, and live for the playoffs, even when the Flyers aren't doing well! I wish game 4 was tomorrow!

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 so what about the orioles? You can live in Baltimore but not cheer or what about the Nationals? I loved the Expos but apparently Montreal did not. I live in Brockville, Ontario and we meaning my family and myself and we went to many expo games and loved it. Live baseball is better than hockey except for the playoffs

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 The Orioles have a lot of fans here, but no one is really a fan of both! Not much attention for the Nats. But I'd like to go to the new Ballpark they have! It's looks awesome on TV!! And Baseball is a great sport to see live! I just like how it stays the same. No rule changes, no effort to speed it up, no electronic timers. Just a simple, old fashioned game! The relaxed atmosphere allows you to take a walk and just grab a bite to eat, or just stretch the legs a bit, without missing too much. I enjoy it for that contrast. Hockey games plant me in my seat. You can't walk away, for feat you will miss a great moment! Two great sports to see live, for different reasons!

| Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 don't mean to change the course of the conversation (it's interesting to hear about Philly and what it's like right now - and who knew you were from brockville, Glenn? you're almost my neighbour) but I'm curious - did you think Biron would be so key at this point? So many said he would be the soft spot, the possible loose cannon, and now look at him. So Price wasn't on his game last night?

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 Yep, the goalies made all the difference last night. Strange series over the first two games. I think the teams that got the better of the play in both games ended up on the losing end. Maybe that is just Karma for all the BS of game one, but the Flyers, I thought, were totally outplayed, and just got some breaks. All of those breaks coming from the bad play of Price. Either team could make a case that they should be up 2-0. Game three is going to be huge.

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 The one goal I saw (had dinner out, missed most of the game) - that made it 4-2 in the 3rd - I thought price passed the puck to a teammate and it was the teammate that screwed it up, picked off by Umberger and that resulted in the goal that sealed the win. But the paper says Umberger batted it out of his glove. 36 shots on Biron, 23 on Price.

Re: Flyers tie series at 1-1 Umberger did knock it free. Price was tentative in goiing for the puck, I thought. Had he been a bit more aggressive, he may have stopped the play. His glove has been his downfall both games. It didn't cost the Canadians game one, but I think 5 of the 6 goals have been glove side, and 4 of six touched his glove prior to going in. What's up with that??? It's gonna be 6 or 7 games this series too. Both teams are going to be spent from 2 long series, and may be an easy mark on the Conference finals.
