Philly vs Wash this aft

philly dominates, 2-0 at the halfway mark of the third. Biron looks great.
umberger and Carter scored. 22 on Biron, 27 on Huet so far.
2nd period Wash didn't even get a shot for 11 minutes.
Has Philly figured them out?
9 minutes left to go.

Re: Philly vs Wash this aft

wow you have it down pat. very fit for the moderator job. I regretfully find it hard to follow anyone but the habs. I don't know why but i can't find the passion it takes to follow all teams. I guess I'm a die-hard. I can't find it within myself to like anyone else. Well, maybe Toskala.

Re: Philly vs Wash this aft

do you like Toskala? I like him too.
I didn't used to be able to get into other teams, but slowly, with each playoff s(and each one missing my team) I've gotten into them.
Plus I know the sites with all the info - so i peek and seem knowledgeable.
I am very into this playoffs, cheering on nashville, montreal, Philly, Calgary, Pittsburgh, would like to see Dallas do well, the Wild, the Rangers.

Damn B&W, ya beat me to it! Had the fiance over today, and we went out for dinner as soon as the final horn sounded. Just got back!

Next time I'll have to post before going out to dinner!

She'll have to understand!

Re: Philly vs Wash this aft

Well, I think they should be up 2-0. They outplayed that team for about 110 of the 120 minutes, but it is what it is.

I just hope they can pull off this win, so I can hear the "experts" explain why they were wrong.

Funny how quick the announcers sort of turned on Ovechkin today, saying he looked lost out there, and like a young player. A week ago he was gonna lead these guys to the promised land.

Now he had 5 shots and was a -2 for this game, and they seemed to want to distance themselves from it!

I'm glad my boys are heading home with a split, and I expect to take both games here, then close it out in 6 back in Philly!

The young gun seems to be out of bullets, eh? So is it inexperience, or is it a case of the Flyer defense just stifling him?

Re: Philly vs Wash this aft

Yeah, I was concerned heading in, but now that I got to see the game today, I know that they can beat these guys!

I missed game one, since I was at the ball game, but I'm jacked up for the first game in Philly.

This place is gonna be rocking. Philly is a rabid hockey town, and this place is gonna be amped up. I know the fans here feel as I do, that the Caps are the trendy pick. I really hope we stomp on thier hopes in Philly!!!

Hope that is not too harsh, but the time for being nice is done. Time to step it up!

I think it is mostly just inexperience. Phllys D is OK, but they have some young guys that still need some seasoning.

Still, the D is better than in some playoff runs, and the balanced offense is (hopefully) built for a playoff run!

You will get one soon Phills!
As for Washington, where were all the caps?! It was only Ovechkin, and he didn't do much.
