Make that five in a row!

The Flyers just dropped thier fifth game in a row, 5-3 to the Lightning! Not a good run for the Flyers!

Re: Make that five in a row!

it happens, doesn't it? losing to a team you should have beaten. TB found some reserve of greatness. what's Philly doing wrong (I mean, besides losing?) you know, specifically?

Re: Make that five in a row!

Well, they have some injuries, but this should give you some idea of what the coach thinks is wrong! For me, I do think that the defense has been letting them down. And waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many shots on goal have reuslted from that. The other day in a 4-3 loss, the goalie stopped 43 shots. That means he faced 47. That is just unreal to me. There was a day not that long ago when goalies were facing less than 20 shots a game here.

Re: Make that five in a row!

It was Nittymaki. Neither goalie has played real bad!

Cool Re: Make that five in a row!

Why does Nittmaki play so much? I thought Biron was their main guy?

Re: Make that five in a row!

Biron is, it seems. he's played 42 games to Niittymaki's 21. they almost share the same GAA (Biron's 2.75, Nitt - 2.72). They are both doing pretty good, .915 Save percent.
Biron-20-15-4-3, and Nitty - 10-8-1-1.

Re: Make that five in a row!

I just don't think that Stevens has made up his mind! AS stated, Biron plays more games, bit Nitty's numbers are very close. Their styles are quite different. Brion always seems in control, while Nitty seems to make great saves, but in part because he is not as good at the fundamentals.

Until the "D" gets better, neither will be able to win like they are capable. And being shut out last night is really burning me up!
