at the begining of the year, the rangers were not a pysical team, and teams took advantage of it by playing their checking lines and gooning it up against the rangers, and espically the last time the rangers played the flyers, fedoruk, was gooning it up, and taking advantange of how soft the rangers lineup was that was the same game that shanny ran into knuble and got hurt. Renny said after that game he regretted not having orr in his line up agains them. So last night they played and ORR ddecided to set the pace, challenged the guy, he accepted and he took a punch, and unlike most fights it ended with a knock out. I hope the kid is ok because the nhl doesnt need people getting hurt cause of fighting. But it was a tempo the rangers needed to set at the begining to show the flyers they would not be bullied around. hope that answers your question

| Flyers' Fedoruk says tough guys should wear padding under their gloves The NHL should take a page from the UFC when it comes to fighting, says in-the-spotlight Flyers enforcer Todd Fedoruk. Fedoruk, who spent the night in hospital earlier this week after being at the wrong end of a nasty knockout, says maybe NHL tough guys should wear padding on their hands under their gloves. "You look at extreme fighting, they've got those four-ounce gloves on," Fedoruk said. Such padding would lessen the blows, he argued. | Re: Flyers' Fedoruk says tough guys should wear padding under their gloves not going to happen, this is saying the nhl is all about the fights just like nascar is all about the crashes and the nhl doesnt want to be known for it. Plus if the nhl sees you in a fight, and u have a piece of tape around ur knuckles u get suspended hows that going to work with gloves under gloves that arent signed by a member of the state like they do in ufc and boxing and another fighting sports that require gloves |

| Re: Flyers' Fedoruk says tough guys should wear padding under their gloves I respectfully disagree. NASCAR doesn't want to be known for crashes, yet that doesn't stop them from admitting that they do happen and from making their cars as safe as possible for when they do. The NFL doesn't want their guys getting concussions, but they still developed safety gear for when those hard hits happen. So, NHL, admit that fights sometimes happen and make them as safe as possible when they do. What's the harm? Pretending something doesn't exist is a far more dangerous approach.

my other question is how would you handle your stick? to many layers makes it bulky and you cant stickhandle like you could without them. |
